CASA, Sexual Assault programs need your service!

Are you passionate about supporting children and adults in our community? Then please consider becoming a volunteer with one of two YWCA Clark County programs. We are recruiting now through August 26; training for both programs begins September 9.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is currently seeking dedicated adults to provide advocacy for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. As a CASA, you represent a child’s best interests and make recommendations to the court. The position is one of great responsibility and requires collaboration with social workers, foster parents, and families. While the work can be hard, the rewards are many! Please visit the CASA volunteer page to learn more.

YWCA’s Sexual Assault program seeks 10 volunteers to provide advocacy for the program’s hotline several days each month. As a volunteer, you will support our Sexual Assault team, which provides 24-hour legal, medical, and emotional support to victims of sexual assault and their families. We also offer advocacy, support groups, counseling, community outreach, and education opportunities. Volunteers play a crucial role in serving survivors of sexual assault by holding space for those in trauma and sharing resources for their continued healing journey. Be a part of an amazing team doing powerful work in the community. Advocates make such a difference in people’s lives! Please visit our volunteer page to learn how you can be an advocate and a life-changer.
