Be a part of making the YWCA Clark County shelter rooms and transitional housing warm and welcoming for domestic violence survivors who come to us seeking safety.
YWCA Clark County is inviting individuals, businesses, and organizations to adopt one of the rooms in it’s SafeChoice Domestic Violence Shelter and Transitional Housing.
Your gift helps offset the cost to operate these rooms and provide safe and comfortable spaces for adult and children survivors fleeing domestic violence. Families often times come to us with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. When they finally are able to enter their room, we want them to feel welcomed and cared for. By sponsoring a room for the year, you/your business will have a name plate to recognize your gift by the room sponsored, be listed on our website, be recognized in our newsletters, and will receive recognition on social media.
Because of community partners like you, YWCA Clark County is able to address all elements of the cycle of violence and provide a customized pathway toward healing for each survivor.

History of SafeChoice↘
The SafeChoice Domestic Violence Program advocates for, empowers, and supports those affected by domestic violence. SafeChoice has served Clark County since 1974. In addition to operating the only emergency domestic violence shelter serving Clark County, SafeChoice offers free and confidential services for the immediate needs of survivors in our community.
By supporting the YWCA Clark County and the Adopt-a-Room Program, you are making sure adult and children survivors fleeing domestic violence have a safe place to connect with advocates, develop a personalized safety plan, and be empowered with information and referrals to community resources.
Domestic violence can happen to anyone, regardless of age, educational background, income level, religion, ethnicity, and sexual and gender identity. Domestic violence is abusive behavior used to gain power and control over an intimate partner. Abuse can be physical, emotional, sexual, or financial. It is a learned behavior, and is not caused by anger, drugs, alcohol, or stress.
