Caring for YWCA Clark County during COVID-19

Our physical office is closed to the public, but critical support services remain open

Dear Community: Your safety is our highest priority. Given the current situation and recommendations from the CDC and Washington public health authorities, we are enacting the following changes below through March 31st in response to the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus) pandemic . We also know that circumstances may require us to make additional changes before the end of the month and even into the next several weeks and months. Check back here for updates.We want to let you know how we are adapting to provide you with the essential services that you depend on.Our offices will close to the public at noon on March 17th and will remain closed through March 31st.

  • SafeChoice "walk-in" hours are available BY PHONE only.  Please call 360-695-0501 between 9am-12pm Monday-Friday to speak to a walk-in advocate via phone. 
  • Y’s Care childcare has been temporarily closed.
  • All CASA events through the end of April are canceled. Information session dates are still in effect and will be done via webinar.  More informatio to come.

Support Groups are being held online

Support Group Sessions: We will not be holding in-person support groups due to the risk of transmitting this virus within a group. If you need to reach us, contact our Front Desk at 360-696-0167.

All Events are Canceled

This includes all YWCA events that were scheduled through the end of March and into early April.CASA has canceled all of its meeting times.  Information session dates are still in effect and will be done via webinar.  More information to come.

Meetings and Meeting Spaces are all canceled

Large gatherings canceled: To honor the state’s request to avoid large gatherings, we will not be holding any large-scale community events or meetings. Community rental of YWCA facilities: We will not be renting out any of our spaces for external groups or for staff use.

Please stay safe: No one is immune to COVID-19.

Following public health guidelines about physical/social distancing is critical! The virus can be spread by anyone, even if you don’t have symptoms.Keeping distance of at least 6 feet protects people who are most vulnerable. People at higher risk include those who:

  •   are age 60 and older
  •  have underlying health conditions including heart disease, lung disease, or diabetes
  •  have weakened or compromised immune systems
  •  are pregnant
