Executive Transition
Dear friends, colleagues, and supporters –
It is with both sadness and gratitude that the YWCA Clark County Board of Directors must share that Dunetchka Otero-Serrano has made the decision to depart from her role as Executive Director of YWCA Clark County. This a personal decision made by Dunetchka and we are sincerely thankful for her immense leadership and contributions made to this organization.
Dunetchka shares, “Over the past year it’s been my privilege to work side-by-side with talented YWCA staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and community partners dedicated to solving complex social issues in Clark County. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this organization and proud of what we have accomplished together. I am inspired by the strength of our community and will continue to be a supporter and friend of YWCA Clark County.”
Effective immediately, Deputy Director Vanessa Yarie will assume interim executive director responsibilities while the Board works towards finalizing a transition plan. We are confident in Vanessa’s ability to lead during this time of transition and are fully committed to continuing our provision of quality programs and services without interruptions. We wish Dunetchka the very best in her future endeavors and offer our continued support to the YWCA Clark County community. If you have any questions about the transition or the organization, do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Holly Jacobs, Board President
