I hope this letter finds you well. I am reaching out today to request your support for a crucial cause close to our hearts, educating a teen and preventing violence before it even starts.
As the fall season unfolds, the return of students to school in Clark County brings challenges of understanding boundaries, safety, and consent with their peers, friends, and those they are dating.
The good news is that you can help!
Will you please send a gift by October 15th to help a teen struggling with friendship and dating relationship boundaries?
Your gift will help a teen in Clark County learn about healthy relationships.
Let me tell you why this is critical.
Do you remember Dean? He is the teen who had concerning behavior towards his girlfriend Cali. When he joined our program, he began a transformative journey towards unlearning control. Through our workshops, Dean learned about consent, boundaries, healthy communication, and the root causes of violence. Most importantly, he recognized his own behaviors and took real steps to change them.
It is urgent that you give before October 15th. If a teenager doesn’t learn how to have healthy relationships with peers, friends, and those they are dating, it can lead to an abusive situation. I don’t want that to happen, and neither do you.
But your gift will educate a teen and prevent violence before it even starts! And your gift will support all the work of YWCA Clark County.
Whatever the need, your gift will cause a ripple effect and disrupt cycles of abuse in our community.
And it all starts with investing in our teens right now.
I hope you are well and that you find a moment to enjoy the warmth of the season as the autumn leaves change. And I hope you’ll send a gift before October 15th!
