YWCA Clark County understands that domestic violence can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or circumstances. Our SafeChoice Domestic Violence Program offers a wide range of services designed to support survivors at every stage of their journey towards safety and independence.

Beyond Shelter: Comprehensive Support for Survivors

While YWCA Clark County operates our area’s only domestic violence shelter, not everyone either qualifies or wants to move into a temporary shelter. Our SafeChoice domestic violence services include:

• In-person Domestic Violence Advocates: We provide advocacy to the general public, including two culturally specific positions (LGBTQ+ and Spanish speaking. Additional language interpretation services can be requested. Walk-in hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am to 3pm (closed noon to 1pm) with no appointment needed. Refer to website to confirm walk-in times.

• 24/7 Domestic Violence Hotline: We accept toll free, local, and collect calls to our 24-hour hotline: (360) 695-0501 or toll free (800) 695-0167.

• Support Groups: We offer a safe space for survivors to connect, share experiences, and build a supportive community.

• Housing Services: We assist survivors in finding safe, affordable housing options to establish long-term stability.

• Legal Advocacy: Our advocates provide support for protection orders and make legal aid referrals. We also provide in-person and virtual court support related to domestic violence protection orders and criminal cases. We do not provide legal advice.

• Medical Advocacy: Our generalists work with medical partners and serve individuals referred through health programs.

• Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA): When funds are available, we offer EFA to survivors from Clark County

• Trauma-Informed Advocacy: We provide emotional support and practical assistance tailored to each survivor's unique needs.
